"Art beautifies our community in many ways and shows that we care about the place we live in, transforming regular spaces into artistic creations that spur conversations and enrich our lives,” said Deputy County Executive Lisa M. Chimera.

The Department of Environment & Planning and the Arts in Public Places Committee will be overseeing the selection process to ensure projects meet their standards of diversity and value.

The press release states that applicants should have experience doing this type of artwork, including similar size, budget, and using materials that are suitable for Erie County's climate.

Submissions may have budgets up to $200,000.

A virtual information session for artists is scheduled for November 15, 2024. The deadline for submissions is December 16, 2024 at 12 p.m.
