BUFFALO, NY — Elton John fans will have one last chance to see the Rocket Man perform live later this year.
KeyBank Center announced Wednesday the 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' concert will play the venue on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. The Buffalo show will come just one week after the music superstar kicks off the U.S. leg of a tour that will consist of 300 shows across five continents.
"Performing live fuels me and I'm ecstatic and humbled to continue to play to audiences across the globe," Elton said. "I plan to bring the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades to my final tour."
The concert dates were released the same day the music icon, whose hits include "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and "Goodbye Norma Jean," announced his retirement from performing live at the conclusion of the three-year world wide tour.
"After the tour finishes", said the singer, I'm very much looking forward to closing off that chapter of my life by saying farewell to life on the road. I need to dedicate more time to raising my children."
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.
