Buff State holds campus safety meeting

Police have responded to four crimes on campus since students moved in for the fall semester.

BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo State President Conway-Turner called a town hall meeting about campus safety Sunday night. Representatives from University Police and the United Students Government were scheduled to participate.

Police have responded to four crimes on campus since students moved in for the fall semester.

  • It started on August 31 with a report of sexual abuse in a dorm. A 17-year-old freshman student was arrested and charged.On September 7, police investigated a stabbing outside the student apartment complex. Police arrested a 22-year-old student in that incident.On September 13, police investigated an armed robbery in a residence hall involving two men, one with a gun, one with a knife. They later arrested two 20-year-old men. Neither of them were students.On September 29, a female student said she was robbed at knifepoint.
