SHERIDAN, N.Y. — A Chautauqua County Resource Center bus crashed into a house alongside Route 5 on Monday morning sending eight people to the hospital.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, the bus crashed through two fences and went into a house in the Town of Sheridan.
Seven individuals were taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, while one was taken to ECMC in Buffalo.
The bus driver, Kevin Easterly, was charged with two traffic violations, speed not reasonable or prudent, and moving unsafely. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
No one inside the home that was hit was injured.
