Eight Days of Hope helps with snow clean up

The Buffalo-based group will be out and about helping to clear what they can of the impactful lake effect snow.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — After several days of snow piling up and affecting many parts of WNY, help is on the way from cleanup volunteers.

An all-volunteer Buffalo organization, Eight Days of Hope, is helping Western New Yorkers to remove snow after the intense lake effect downfall.

Their rapid response team is brining together heavy equipment to help move large snow piles, clear driveways and help remove snow from roofs.

Volunteers ready-equipped with shovels and heavy machinery like bob-cats are ready to take on the polar vortex.

The rapid response team plans to be out in the area for multiple days.

Those in need of assistance should email rapidresponse@eightdaysofhope.com.
