BUFFALO, N.Y. — ECMC's cancer care experts have announced that they will be hosting an upcoming cancer prevention and screening event.
At the event there will be exams for oral cancer screening, fit kits for colorectal cancer screening, PSA draws for prostate cancer screening, lung cancer prevention information, and more. Everything is at no cost, and completely free to attend.
The event is on Saturday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. located at 800 Hertel Avenue (two large tents adjacent to the ECMC Center for Dental Care).
People attending are encouraged to arrive between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Multiple different WNY organizations will also be present such as the Breast Cancer Network of WNY, Cancer Care of WNY, Cancer Services Program of Erie County, and more.
Getting early detection not only saves lives but is more likely to be treated successfully if diagnosed at an early stage.
