Eastern Hills Mall hosts Pawlloween

People and their furry friends were able dress up and get their pictures taken for Halloween.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — The first-ever Pawlloween took place at the Eastern Hills Mall on Sunday.

People and their furry friends were able dress up and get their pictures taken for Halloween. There were even prizes for best owner and pet costume, cutest costume, and most creative.

Pawlloween aimed to raise money and awareness for pet adoptions in Western New York.

"You don't have to go to a breeder in order to find the dog of your dreams, you can really find any type of breed you want at any different organization," said Amanda Williamson from Pixie Mamas Rescue. "Just depends on what you're looking for."

Proceeds from Sunday's photo session will support Open Arms Rescue, Queen City Pitties and Pixie Mamas Rescue.
