EAST AURORA, N.Y. — A man was struck and killed by a train Wednesday in East Aurora.
East Aurora Police said it received a 911 call at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, reporting the incident near the Oakwood Avenue railroad viaduct.
"An adult male had been struck by a train operated by Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad Company," police said in a statement, adding that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"East Aurora Police and the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the incident with full cooperation from the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad Company."
The incident is under investigation. No other details were immediately available.
