SOUTH DAYTON, N.Y. — One person died in a crash that happened Saturday night in Chautauqua County.
First responders with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and South Dayton Fire Department were called to a crash at 11:36 p.m. Saturday at Dye Road in the Town of Villenova.
An investigation found that a utility terrain vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
"The operator of the vehicle and sole occupant of the vehicle died as a result of the accident," the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Sunday morning.
The investigation is ongoing. The sheriff's office said more information will eventually be released.
