DEPEW, N.Y. — On Wednesday the Depew Union Free School District shared that they have created a new tradition between students in a really sweet Facebook post.

In the post made to their Facebook page the school district wrote that the new tradition is called 'Sharing the Wildcat Spirit'. Attached to the post was a video that shows Depew Seniors standing at one end of their football field, and Cayuga Heights Kindergarteners standing at the other end.

As the video continues to play, the two groups walk towards each other to meet in the middle, and the seniors symbolically pass on their school spirit to the kindergarten class.

Depew wrote at the end of their post "We look forward to carrying on this tradition for many years to come!"

See the full post attached below to watch the video.

Sharing the Wildcat Spirit

We started a new tradition at Senior Night, called "Sharing the Wildcat Spirit." Our DHS Seniors met up with the Cayuga Heights Kindergarteners (Class of 2037) at the 50-yard line to symbolically pass on the school spirit. We look forward to carrying on this tradition for many years to come!
