DEPEW, N.Y. — On Saturday night, firefighter Jan Kostran celebrated 25 years with Depew Hook & Ladder.
Kostran was honored for his accomplishments at a dinner held Saturday night at the Depew Fire Hall. Firefighter Kostran joined Depew Hook & Ladder Company #1 in 1999. The Depew resident had previously served with a department in West Seneca.
Since joining Depew Hook & Ladder, Kostran has held the offices of Company Vice President and Company Secretary. He has also served on the following committees: Department Recruitment and Retention, the Depew Fire Department Softball Team, and the Depew Fire Department Cadance Corps.
Depew Fire Chief Brian Musielak served as the Master of Ceremonies as several of Kostran's family members and friends celebrated Kostran's accomplishments and dedication as a volunteer firefighter.
