DARIEN CENTER, N.Y. — Goodbye, Darien Lake. Welcome back, Six Flags!
The theme park has rebranded itself as Six Flags Darien Lake. The park opens for the season on May 4.
“Six Flags is a world-renowned leader in thrills and innovation and we are delighted to return the Six Flags name to our park,” said Six Flags Darien Lake President Chris Thorpe.
The theme park also announced a new ride for park goers to enjoy this season.
Six Flags Sky Screamer.
The theme park says it will be the tallest ride in New York State. Standing 24 stories tall, you will be flying in the sky in a 100-foot wide 'swing-like' ride.
