CUBA, N.Y. — A Cuba teen who was paralyzed in September 2022 after being struck by a drunk driver along with her friend, has sadly passed away.

Kranock's mom had shared the unfortunate news of Gabby's passing to Facebook on Tuesday morning writing "Gabby is forever 19 our baby received her wings."

Gabby Kranock was 18-years-old when her life got turned upside down by a drunk driver.

"Gabby was left paralyzed. Her friend was killed on the scene and another one was seriously injured," her father Dennis said to 2 On Your Side in January.

The young teen's family spoke to us earlier in the year about her constant fight to remain positive during the hard time in her life.

Gabby and her family had received a wheelchair-accessible van earlier this year that was a gift from West Herr and Hope Rises. The groups had worked together to provide Gabby's family with the gift of mobility, and even received an anonymous donation of $20,000 towards it.

Gabby's family has a 'Gofundme' set up for anyone interested in helping the family during this time.
