Never too early to think about a Halloween costume

The group is hoping to collect 200 new or gently used costumes for kids of all ages.

AMHERST, N.Y. — As we make our way towards the spring it might be crazy it bring up Halloween, but a counseling center in Amherst is getting a head start for those looking for costumes or want to make some room in the closet by getting rid of no longer used costumes. 

Nickle City Counseling is hosting a 'Halfway to Halloween' event on April 27 from 2p.m. to 4p.m. at Parkside Lutheran Church. 

"Our mission is to provide youth within the Buffalo Niagara Region access to Halloween costumes free of charge, allowing youth to fully enjoy and participate in the Halloween experience." Nickle City Counseling writes on their website.

The group is hoping to collect 200 new or gently used costumes for kids of all ages. 

People with donations can drop them off all throughout the month of April at various drop-off locations which include

Costumes can also be brought in on the 27th which will include a party to celebrate with candy, crafts, games, and more.

Giveaways for costumes will happen at a later date in September.
