HAMBURG, N.Y. — Springtime is almost here and that means so is road construction season.
The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) says work is expected to resume Monday morning, March 15, on a continuing project to rehabilitate a portion of Rt. 5 in Hamburg and Lackawanna.
Rt. 5 from Ridge Rd. to NY 179 will have various westbound (outbound) and eastbound (inbound) lane closures during the period. Construction will wrap up by 5 PM daily. As always, the work is weather dependent.
The project is expected to last for about six months.
