BUFFALO, N.Y. — First, people picked up bricks from the rubble that used to be The Old Pink, taking them home as reminders of the good times they had at the Allentown staple before it burned down this past week.
Now, the Buffalo History Museum is asking people to "share your memories, photos, and recollections" in an effort to create a historical record of the place.
The museum took to social media earlier in the week, saying after a 2-alarm fire at The Old Pink led to an emergency demolition of a building that "dated back to the mid 1860s."
"We know that bar held generations of stories and memories, and we want to hear from you to collect and preserve them. Share your memories and photos from the Old Pink at the link (here) as we work to create a historical record about this legendary bar," the museum said Thursday.
