Niagara County Crisis Services teams up with local coffee shops to bring awareness to suicide prevention

Niagara County Coffee Shops are spreading awareness for National Suicide Prevention Month with coffee sleeves featuring resources available to those who need it.

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — Coffee Shops around Niagara County are teaming up with the county's Crisis Services department to shed light on the help that is available for those who need it and may be struggling.

Craft Coffee House in Pendleton made a post on September 1 showcasing their new hot coffee sleeves. On the sleeves they read "You Matter!" and provide the contact information for Niagara County's Crisis Services 24-hour phone line.

The Gypsy Kitchen in Lockport also has showcased the sleeves writing "We are partnering with Niagara County to spread the word about Niagara County Crisis Services. They have a 24-hour phone line available to anyone who needs support or resources relating to mental health. Come in for a drink this week and you’ll be helping to spread the word about this great resource that’s available to our community."
