WEST SENECA, N.Y. — The West Seneca Police Department announced to social media that their citizens police academy is back by popular demand.
Those interested in becoming more involved with their community are encouraged to join the informative training opportunity.
Beginning in January 2024 the department will host two classes every month at the West Seneca Community Center Library until the month of May.
Classes start at 7:00 p.m. and runs for one to two hours depending on the topic. The classes will also have a size of around 25 people allowed so, those interested should RSVP when online sign-ups become available.
Some of the topics that will be done include crime scene analysis, use of force, accident investigation and more.
Participants do not have to reside in West Seneca but those who do will receive priority when joining. The class is recommended for adults but, teens interested can look into the youth program.
