BUFFALO, N.Y. — Another summer tradition returns this week for the first time after a break during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Christmas in July Toy Drive made its return on Tuesday.
Assemblyman Mike Norris (R- 144th District) of Lockport launched the toy drive Tuesday morning. The drive supports kids at Oishei Children's Hospital.
You can donate new, unwrapped toys and they are collecting items for infants to teens.
You can drop them off at Norris' District Office or the Lockport YMCA.
Many libraries are also accepting donations including Clarence, Lockport, Wilson and Newfane.
"A lot of kids right now are outside at their soccer games, baseball games, or out of school. They are enjoying the outdoors. And unfortunately, these kids are here getting care at Children's Hospital and to bring a smile and joy to their face is tremendous," Norris said.
Santa will be making a special trip to hand out gifts at the hospital on July 25.
