TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A six-year-old has died after she was hit by a vehicle Monday evening in the Town of Tonawanda.
The accident happened on Canterbury Lane just before 8 p.m.
Town of Tonawanda Police say the child was hit by a Ford Transit Connect Van while trying to cross Canterbury Lane.
The child was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital where she died of her injuries.
The 84-year-old driver of the van is cooperating with police.
