TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The Canal Fest of the Tonawandas will be returning this summer after all.
The festival posted on Facebook that the event will be returning July 16-23.
This is a reversal of the year off that Canal Fest organizers announced in March. At the time, they said the festival would return in 2024 to rebrand and restructure the festival for its 40th celebration that year.
The social media posts tells fans to stay tuned for more details.
Back in March, event organizers, the not-for-profits, and civic member organizations from both the cities of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda that participate in the eight-day festival said they chose to step back and take a year off so they can better prepare for Canal Fest in 2024.
