BUFFALO, N.Y. — The new owner of Buffalo's historic Hamlin House paid less than a third of the building's initial asking price.
Lucian Visone Jr., founder of Clarence-based VisoneCo Site Development, bought 432 Franklin St. for $375,000. The building previously housed an American Legion post and the Hamlin House restaurant.
Visone plans to convert the 23,381-square-foot building to apartments, according to Edward Mills of J.R. Militello Realty, who brokered the deal.
Troop I Post No. 665 of the American Legion first listed the building for $1.2 million in summer 2022, but it proved a tricky property to sell, Mills said.
