BUFFALO, N.Y. — Children interested in running a business were part of a Youth Extravaganza Saturday at the Buffalo Elementary School of Technology.
Common Council Majority Leader, Leah Halton-Pope, organized the event and spoke on the importance of encouraging young vendors to pursue their dreams.
"They're such brilliant individuals, they're very creative, and when they're given the right space to thrive, they will blow our minds every single time," said Halton-Pope.
"In this day and age, when we're seeing a lot of tragedy happen, to know that there's some young people that are out there living big, I want to support them in whatever ways I possibly can," she added,
Tables were set up for the kids to meet entrepreneurs.
Participants got to hear from special guest Eric Rawls who is the founder of the popular Buffalo clothing line, ImLivinB.
