BUFFALO, NY - It has been one year since an epic November storm battered parts of Buffalo and Western New York.
The storm, officially named Winter Storm Knife but more commonly known as Snowvember, started on November 17, 2014 and when the snow stopped days later nearly eight feet had fallen in some areas.
The rare Lake Effect storm formed a very strong band that barely moved. Communities to the south were trapped for days, while towns north of Buffalo hardly saw a flake.
