BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Police are investigating a fatal car accident that occurred Friday in Buffalo.
Police say the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. when a Ford Edge crashed into a Chevy Equinox and forced it into a pole near the intersection of Grider Street and East Delavan Avenue.
The driver of the Equinox was taken to ECMC where she was later pronounced dead. Officers of the Buffalo Police Accident Investigation Unit have so far been unable to identify the driver.
The driver of the Edge is a 21-year-old man. He was treated and released from ECMC with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
