BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County Medical Center has been ranked as one of the most socially responsible hospitals in Western New York.
It came in fourth place, according to a new study by the Lown Institute.
It uses health equity and value of care metrics to rank hospitals across the country.
ECMC received an A grade for community benefit, inclusivity, value of care, and avoiding overuse.
However, in that same study, the hospital received a C grade for patient safety and satisfaction.
