BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo was the cheesiest it’s ever been this week, as the American Cheese Society held its annual conference in Buffalo.
The four-day conference brought nearly 2,000 cheesemakers to Western New York for cheese tastings, learning sessions, certification testing and competitions at the Buffalo Convention Center.
“What I loved about Buffalo is you have companies like Lactalis, a $4 billion global cheese maker, but you also have really unique, fun, small artisan cheese makers from the Finger Lakes region, which isn’t too far away,” said Jessica Little, the vice president of the society.
