BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets renewed a partnership with the Buffalo Sabres today, naming the grocery store as the official grocer of the hockey team.
The partnership will feature a range of activities, public events, community initiatives, promotions in-store, and free fan experiences, including Sabres Fan Fest on September 14, according to Tops.
Buffalo Sabres Chief Operating Officer Pete Guelli said he is proud to renew the partnership.
"Our partnership extends far beyond business and it is a collaboration rooted in decades of shared history and community values. Tops is a vital part of Buffalo’s fabric and their unwavering commitment to our city perfectly complements the values of the Buffalo Sabres organization," he said.
Both organizations were previously partnered from 1999 to 2017. President of Tops, Ron Ferri said the partnership strengthens the grocer's commitment to supporting the Buffalo community.
"From kicking off the season with this weekend’s Fan Fest and offering exciting in-store promotions, to hanging out with Sabretooth, the coolest cat in town, we’re thrilled to create memorable fan experiences that last a lifetime," he said.
The Sabres Fan Fest kicks off at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the KeyBank Center.
