Buffalo Police investigate weekend shootings

Two men were shot in separate incidents Sunday night on the city's East Side.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department is investigating a pair of shootings that happened over the weekend.

The first happened just after 8 p.m. Sunday in the area of William Street and Jefferson Avenue. Police say a 27-year-old man was hit multiple times. He was taken to ECMC where he was treated and released.

The second shooting happened late Sunday, just before midnight in the 200 block of Bristol Street. 

Police say a man was shot in the arm inside a home. The 29-year-old victim was taken to ECMC where he also was treated and released.
