BUFFALO, N.Y. — The full list of 2025 Grammy nominations has been released, and this year features a group familiar to Western New York. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has been nominated for two awards: Best Orchestral Performance and Best Classical Compendium.
The performance for Best Orchestral Performance that is being recognized is Kodály: Háry János Suite; Summer Evening & Symphony In C Major conducted by JoAnn Falletta.
The full category nominees for Best Orchestral Performance include the following:

- Stravinsky: The Firebird — Esa-Pekka Salonen, conductor (San Francisco Symphony)
JoAnn Falletta also earned another nomination for Best Classical Compendium. The recognition is for Foss: Symphony No. 1; Renaissance Concerto; Three American Pieces; Ode conducted by Falletta and produced by Bernd Gottinger.
This award is given to the artist(s) and to the album producer(s) and engineer(s) of over 50% playing time of the album, and to the composer and librettist (if applicable) with over 50% playing time of a world premiere recording only.
