NFTA Police looking for SUV involved in hit-and-run

A pedestrian was hit on a circulatory road at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport around 5a.m.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The NFTA is asking for the public's help finding a car involved in a hit-and-run at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport around 5 a.m. Tuesday Morning.

NFTA officials say the vehicle is described as a new model black Nissan Pathfinder. It's believed the SUV sustained moderate front-end damage and is missing the Nissan emblem from its front grill.

The pedestrian was hit on Luiz F. Kahl Way at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport.

The person who was hit is reported as suffering from serious head injuries.

The West entrance to the airport off of the 33 has been reopened as of 9:08a.m. The entrance had been temporarily closed while police investigated.
