BUFFALO, N.Y. — Did you know there is a competition for slapping someone in the face? Did you also know that one of the security guards for Buffalo Bills games will be competing on Tuesday night in the competition?
On October, 25 at the Las Vegas UFC Apex, Nate Burnard will be stepping into the ring and hopes to take down current Power Slap Heavyweight Champion Damien Dibbell.
Burnard who is known as the 'Buffalo Soldier' is 25 years old and weighs in at 264 lbs. He is a member of the Buffalo Bills security team. When he competed in August, players from the team had a watch party to support Burnard, according to an article on the Sporting Tribune website.
The Sporting Tribune followed Burnard's match in August. They wrote: 'Burnard said when he’s not at the Bills’ facility keeping tabs on the AFC hopefuls and holding things down in his security guard capacity, he’s treating his Power Slap career like he did football in high school and college.'
