BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you are driving around the City of Buffalo today and happen to see Firefighters at a few stop lights, consider donating to their good cause.
Happening today Buffalo Firefighters will be hosting their 'Fill the Boot' campaign in an effort to raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is "a charitable organization founded in tribute to New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who was killed on September 11, 2001, during the September 11 attacks. The foundation operates as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and helps families of September 11, first responders and veterans rebuild in part from funds raised through nationwide charity runs." according to their website.
Firefighters will be located at the intersections on Chruch Street & Delaware Avenue, Oak Street & Genesee Street, and Elm Street & Swan Street. Donation amounts of any kind are accepted and greatly appreciated.
