Buffalo firefighters respond to blaze started inside a vacant home

The Buffalo Fire Department was called around 7:05 p.m. Saturday to 37 Miller Street, north of Broadway.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Nobody was injured after a fire rolled through a vacant home Saturday night in the City of Buffalo.

The Buffalo Fire Department was called around 7:05 p.m. Saturday to 37 Miller Street, north of Broadway, after a fire started in a  vacant 1.5-story structure with a wood frame. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.

"No personal belongings or contents were lost due to the building’s vacant status," a City of Buffalo spokesperson told 2 On Your Side on Saturday night.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Buffalo Fire officials.
