“Our 5K Run for the Homeless is an exciting community event that embodies the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines our city of good neighbors, and the passion found within the running community,” Buffalo City Mission CEO and Executive Director Aubrey Calhoun said.

“Whether you walk, run, or volunteer, we invite everyone to be part of this inaugural event, which directly supports our critical community services and ongoing efforts to uplift those in need.”

Proceeds and the money raised from the race will go directly to support the Mission's community services including efforts to address food insecurity, emergency shelter, educational programming, and restorative services for career development and job-skill training.

The race will begin at the Mission’s Alfiero Family Center of Hope and Promise in Buffalo. Participants can also register on the day of from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. The cost is $35 for adults, $25 for kids under 18, and free for kids 10 years old and younger. The 5k will begin at 9 am.

Top finishers and teams that raised the most money will earn awards after the race.
