BUFFALO, N.Y. — A celebrity charity basketball tournament was held Saturday at Delaware Park.
The event was put on by former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson and local musician Top Grease.
Johnson said he's always looking for ways to give back to the community where he spent most of his career.
"They enjoy me for being me through the good times and the bad times, and I really respect that," he said. "I didn't want to just go back to California and forget about all the love that was given to me here. I always want to stay connected with the fans. You know, we have more than just a sports connection. I grew up here, basically. I learned a lot of life skills here, and I'm just glad to be able to create and provide for the community."
Money raised from the event will benefit the YMCA of Western New York.
