BUFFALO, N.Y. — Happy victory Monday Buffalo!
Sunday's Buffalo Bills game against the Chiefs was the Bills 'My Cause My Cleats' game. During the game players wore special cleats dedicated to a non-profit organizations that resonate with them.
In a social media post the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter shared that they were honored to be featured on Bills punter Sam Martin's cleats for his cause, 'Puppies & Golf'.
Martin's cleats could not have been any cuter featuring one of the shelter's dogs, Ralph.
In the groups post they wrote
"The Ralph was chosen to be the dog featured because his story encompasses a lot of the realities shelters everywhere face. Originally found as an abandoned dog at Christmas 2020, needing some special training and a foster home, happily adopted but then returned and again needing a foster home and time, patience and faith that he (a middle aged Pitbull with separation anxiety and some quirks) was worth the time, money and several months in a coveted foster home."
Making the Bill's win even sweeter the shelter was happy to share that Ralph was adopted yesterday as well.
Other players cleats featured cause such as Best Self WNY, PUNT Pediatric Cancer Collaborative, American Cancer Society, Oishei Children's Hospital, and more.
