DUNKIRK, N.Y. -- Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk has been scoping out sites in Chautauqua County to build a new facility for its relocation.
The hospital's Board of Directors sub-committee met recently to work toward selecting two or three preferred locations for the new hospital in the next 30 days, according to a hospital news release.
The hospital, Clark Patterson Lee Engineers and Straudwater Associates have reviewed more than 24 sites for the new facility.
Brooks Hospital will build the new facility with a joint $57 million grant secured through New York State's Essential Healthcare Provider Support Program secured earlier in 2016.
Earlier in the year, Brooks Memorial Hospital announced a new affiliation with TLC Health Network and Kaleida Health.
The hospital is currently located at 529 Central Avenue in Dunkirk.
