BUFFALO, N.Y. — As temperatures begin to dip lower, the need for winter clothing for children is growing.
Bonnets for Babies, a non-profit group who helps provide winter clothing to children is asking for donations from local businesses, residents and organizations for the holiday season.
“During this season of giving, we would love to partner with local businesses and organizations that might want to ‘adopt’ us during the holidays — and hopefully beyond — and help us provide much-needed gifts of warmth and comfort to those in need,” said Jane Randazzo Pelosi, president of Bonnets for Babies. “The need for product donations and funding is year-round.”
They are looking for new or homemade items that would fit children from birth to five years of age:
- bonnets
- hats
- gloves
- scarves
- mittens
- coats
- boots
- pajamas
- blankets
- other clothing items
“The hats, gloves, coats, pajamas, bonnets and blankets contributed to date have not only kept our precious children warm, but have also wrapped them in the love and kindness that defines the spirit of the season,” added Linda Koenigsberg. “We urge our neighboring businesses, organizations and residents across Western New York to get involved and help us make this holiday season very special for families in need.”
The organization has created an Amazon Wishlist with many of the items they need. You can find it here; Amazon Gift List. You can also log onto their website at: https://bonnetsforbabies.com, or email jpelosi@bonnetsforbabies.com
