Body pulled from the Niagara River

Buffalo Police say a passerby spotted a body floating in the water along Niagara Street on Wednesday morning.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police are working to identify the body of a man pulled from the Niagara River on Wednesday morning.

They say a passerby made the discovery around 10:30 a.m. along the 2100 block of Niagara Street.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit was on scene to remove the body from the water.
