Bocce Club Pizza weighs future of downtown shop

Four months after closing his downtown location for renovations, the owner of Bocce Club Pizza is considering several options.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Four months after closing his downtown location for renovations, the owner of Bocce Club Pizza is considering several options that may or may not include slices.

The restaurant at 235 Delaware Ave. opened in early 2020 – just as the pandemic was getting underway. The initial plan was to capture walk-in business from those in nearby offices for lunch or dinner, owner Jim Pacciotti said.

That’s the model that’s worked for Bocce Club Pizza at its suburban locations in Amherst on Bailey Avenue and Hopkins Road, and the newest full-service site in Clarence that opened on Goodrich Road in 2021.
