BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Burchfield Penney Art Center welcomed community members for a live art collaboration event called “Black History on Canvas: A Celebration of Art and Culture."
"It's amazing even though were celebrating black history were celebrating history and culture and just to have everyone together in one room is what really matters here," said Darnell J. Haywood Jr., with the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals.
Guests were also able to help paint two canvases during Tuesday night's event. The canvases will be on display at the new Buffalo Urban League headquarters on Jefferson Avenue.
