Black Business Bazaar in Buffalo

"The only way to get out of poverty is if we start our own businesses and support each other, and then lift each other up that way," said Black Business Bazaar organizer, Alexander Wright.

BUFFALO, NY - The Black Business Bazaar hosted over 30 black-owned businesses and vendors Saturday, promoting minority-owned businesses in Buffalo.

The event gathered the business and vendors under one roof at the Johnnie B Wiley Stadium, to showcase and promote minority-owned businesses in the inner city.

"You can't wait for anyone to save you, you have to save yourself," says Black Business Bazaar organizer Alexander Wright. "And I think what these entrepreneurs are doing, they're stepping out, and they're saying, 'Hey, I want a better situation for myself and my family, and I'm stepping out to make that happen.'"

"The only way to get out of poverty is if we start our own businesses and support each other, and then lift each other up that way," Wright added.

The last Black Business Bazaar was held back in February. Organizers hope to continue the bazaar next year as well.
