Bills Mafia welcomes home the Buffalo Bills at the airport following Wild Card loss

Despite the loss, Buffalonians continue to be the City of Good Neighbors by welcoming the team with opens arms at the Buffalo Airport around 2 a.m. Sunday

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Win or lose, the Bills Mafia loves the Buffalo Bills.

Members of the Bills Mafia waited at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport early Sunday morning to welcome the team back from Houston after losing to the Texans in the wild card game. The Bills could not hold on to the lead after the second half, failing to take advantage of several opportunities. The Texans won the game in overtime, 22-19.

Despite the loss, Buffalonians continue to be the City of Good Neighbors by welcoming the team with opens arms at the airport around 2 a.m.

"We love the Bills," said fan Adam Reece. "Win or lose, they're our team, and we just wanted to come and wish them good luck for next season because we're looking forward to it."

Bills fan Liz Wacienga told 2 On Your Side that it's important for fellow Bills fans show up for the team now more than ever, especially to give them a boost in the off-season and prepare them for next year.

While she says she's proud of the team for their efforts this season, it doesn't mean there aren't some changes she'd like to see next season.

"Josh Allen, I really want him to develop more," Wacienga said. "He was a little inconsistent today, but I think a couple more playoff games and experiences under his belt and he'll be alright next year."

Although the Bills loss still stings for many fans, members of the Bills Mafia were more than happy to cheer on the Tennessee Titans Saturday night as they played the New England Patriots. The Titans win was enough to put smiles back on the faces of many fans.
