LEWISTON, NY-- Lewiston Police are reminding residents to not approach bears in the area.
The department received reports from several residents who spotted a bear in the area of Irving Drive off of Lewiston Road.
Police say this is a mother bear who is protective of their cubs. They ask residents not to approach them and give them plenty of room.
You'll also want to keep an eye on your pets.
