AMHERST, N.Y. — The Amherst Police Department will be teaming up with FeedMore WNY to host a food collection drive from November 4 to 11.

The department is making donating simple, by allowing you to place a bag of non-perishable food donations on your porch. You can then call Amherst Police at (716) 689-1322 and officers will pick up the donations during their regular shifts.

They are also collecting donations at their headquarters at 500 John James Audubon Parkway in Amherst.

As the holiday season approaches, this is a great opportunity to give back and get much-needed food to families, the Amherst Police expressed.
