BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 9th annual 43North competition winners were announced Thursday night at Shea's Performing Arts Center.
There were 15 finalists, and ambitious entrepreneurs presented their ideas on stage. In the end, only five finalists each received a $1 million dollar prize.
The winners who will expand their business endeavors here in Buffalo are:
- Guidesly (Topsfield, MA)
- Storecash (San Jose, CA)
- Stepwise (Cambridge, MA)
- KAV (Redwood City, CA)
- Kredit Academy (Miami, FL)
Guidesly is a mobile app and help guide where anglers can network with other people who fish and find the best fishing spots near them.
Storecash is a mobile payment option where people can use QR codes to pay at more than 200,000 locations across the United States and earn cash back.
Stepwise helps homeowners access affordable home electrification, specifically for EV charger and heat pump installations.
KAV makes 3D printed, custom safety helmets.
Kredit Acedemy is a credit card for teens and young adults that helps them build credit.
