The Buffalo Convention Center is getting a lot of attention lately and bringing thousands of visitors to Buffalo and Erie County.

The Buffalo Convention Center has already booked four conferences and conventions for this summer. The events are expected to bring in over 15,000 visitors in total.

“Business is booming, and thousands of visitors are not only enjoying top-quality conferences, they are enjoying all that Buffalo and Erie County have to offer,” Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz said.

This past October, the convention center completed their $6 million renovations with upgrades on the interior and exterior of the building. Poloncarz said those improvements have helped the center stay competitive against similar markets like Cleveland, Pittsburgh and New Harford when booking events.

For 2025-2026, there are over 20 conventions booked, 22,000 attendees expected and a nearly $30 million economic impact according to Poloncarz.

A few of the upcoming events include:

  • The Society of College and University Planning – Atlantic Regional Conference
  • Break the Floor Productions – JUMP Dance Convention
  • National College Testing Association Annual Conference
  • New York School Nutrition Association Annual Conference
  • Worlds Canal Conference
  • American Association for Aerosol Research
  • Center for Inquiry Annual Conference
  • National Indian Education Association
  • The American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists Annual Conference
