3 people found dead in North Tonawanda

At this time, North Tonawanda Police suspect that the deaths are attributed to an accidental drug overdose. However, the case is under investigation.

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — North Tonawanda Police tell 2 On Your Side three adults were found dead in an apartment on Oliver Street Wednesday morning. 

Officers arrived to the apartment around 8:45 a.m., and say they were met by a friend of the three individuals. 

The friend allegedly told North Tonawanda Police that the four of them had consumed cocaine around midnight and he then passed out. Police say the friend woke up and found the others dead in various locations inside the apartment and called 911. 

Members of the North Tonawanda Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed that the three individuals had died. All three were taken to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office by the Niagara County Coroner’s Office.

The friend was taken to DeGraff Hospital for evaluation.

Police say there was no indication of a struggle or injuries to the bodies. At this time, North Tonawanda Police suspect that the deaths are attributed to an accidental drug overdose. However, the case is under investigation.

The names of the deceased are not being released at this time until family members have been notified.
