BUFFALO, N.Y. — Walk into Niagara Café just about any time of day and you’re likely to see a line of people waiting for roasted pork, rotisserie chicken, beans and rice or a fresh pastelillo.

Owned and operated since 1992 by Raul and Maria Hernandez, the restaurant at 525 Niagara St. has become a staple on Buffalo’s West Side for the neighborhood’s Hispanic population as well as residents and business professionals from all backgrounds and cultures.
